Distant Music's last release of 2003 sees Scott Wozniak laying down the funky grooves on "Wake Up My Life" Opening up with a killer funk bassline, "Wake Up My Life" features a superb female vocal from Aly Worth, while some midtempo beats and a funky guitar riff help that funky groove along for the late night floor crowds The dub mix adds a killer brass section and some superb organ work to that bassline groove, and it s laidback late night funk all the way. 83 West make a rare remixing appearance, adding their own stellar organ riff to Aly s vocal, while a reworked bassline and more tight beats only add to this tracks floor appeal Their dub take focuses on their bassline, while that organ and a subtle guitar line come more into play.
