Last fall, Richard Payton released his 20th Anniversary mixes of this 95 North classic featuring Phillip Ramirez. 95 North Records now brings you this killer set of additional remixes for 2015.
Bristol's Sean McCabe certainly needs no introduction when it comes to soulful house grooves. On this release, he drops a thick bassline/keyboard driven groove that grabs you and doesn't let go and then adds strings and organ to build the track and take it to an even higher level.
Also hailing from Bristol, Richard "True2Life" Pring, is on the boards for the next set of mixes. You may know him from his hot 2013 rework of Mike Delgado's "Latino Way" (Check It Out Records) and his previous collaborations with Phillip on "Sweet Memories" (Deeptown Music) and "Take Me Higher" (Liquid Deep). His vocal mix here combines chopped vocals, swinging drums, and smooth keys to give his unique interpretation of the song. His R.A.W. dub is just that - a more sparse groove that uses vocal snips, a rhythmic Rhodes pattern, and heavy drums and effects to drive the groove.
Hailing from Washington, DC, DJ Nav drops his deep soulful touch onto this release. He has previously brought us his The Scene EP as well as his Capitol Dubs EP and his bassline driven groove with smoothed out keys on his mixes here round out the package perfectly.
