Originally released a couple of years back, Mr Doris & D-Funk's 'All Down' returns with a bunch of new remixes that build on the original's vibes featuring the outstanding vocals of N'fa Jones and Cataloop. First up is a remix from Ninja Tune and BBE legendary producer, DJ Vadim. Having worked with or remixed the likes of DJ Krush, The Roots, Dilated Peoples, and Prince, Vadim needs no introduction. His remix places the vocals over heavy beats and percussion with hauntingly infectious reverbed synth lines to create a perfect blend of hip-hop and electronica. The Rebel's remix strips away some elements, adding punchy snares and funk fills with wah-wah guitars, keys, and horn lines to bring a delightful touch of jazz to proceedings. Also included is the Aldo Vanucci remix, a funked-out groove, and head-nodding hooks means this one is still sounding as fresh as ever.
