'Miss You Ospina' is a direct response to the loss of our friend, Alan Ospina. As artists and music lovers, our only release is through rhythm and dance. Alan understood this completely. He was an incredible artist, a beautiful human being and a fabric of the Charlotte community. His loss has been devastating and will continue to be for a long time to come in our little big city. We will never forget his smile, laugh and of course his oh so smooth moves on the dance floor.

Kenneth Cullens aka Anguish Years, a good friend of Alan's, was inspired to create 'Miss You Ospina' in his remembrance. When Kenneth posted the record on social media for close friends to listen to, Groovy Bone founder Diskull came across the record and after one listen knew he had to give it a proper release.

In Kenneth's own words: 'Upon hearing the news, I had to release my feelings into musical form. I sat in the studio, with no idea of how to approach this song, except for allowing my heart to lead the way. I wanted the track to represent the wave of emotion that builds after tragedy. 0:46 you will hear a sharp sound that builds which is the shock and disbelief. Almost as if you have become deaf and numb to everything around you. Following this, at 1:00, the wave hits like a broken floodgate of emotion. At the same time, the record has a sense of beauty, euphoria, peace and celebration of life. All of which is what Alan is and deserves.'
