We welcome Venezuelan-raised and Houston-based Carloscres to Piston Recordings with the fantastic two-tracker entitled ‘Ruido Del Tropico’. Carloscres is an electronic music producer focused on quality forward thinking music. He established himself within the underground music scene playing in bars, clubs and special events nationwide. As a producer, his career kicked off with his first EP on one of Andre Kronert's labels 2600 Records, followed by another release on Nikola Gala's imprint. Over the years, his work has been released on labels such as Loco Records, Bosom, Soulstar, Society 3.0, Jesus Was Black and Oslo's Bogota Records and supported by some notorious artists across the world. Great to have him on board.

‘Ruido Del Tropico’ opens the release with a percussion led intro that is soon joined by a nice chunky kick drum and warm chord. The percussions remain a focus, thanks to some nifty arrangement and a collection of crispy hits and glitchy sounds. The soft chords pulsate hypnotically, allowing the mind to wander and dream away a lazy afternoon in the sun. The perfect tonic to warm up the winter months. ‘A Day Out’ concludes the release with a classic kick and hat combi on the intro. A distinctive 808 cowbell injects intrigue into the sound as warm chords dictate soft melodic phrases that captivate the mind. A sub-level bass keeps the low-end moving while gritty, robotic voices and sharp 303 stabs add contrast. Beautifully constructed, dreamy and harsh at the same time, this one will definitely run wild in your imagination.
