Italian DJ, producer Anuhe debuts on Piston Recordings with the deep grooves of his two tracker, ‘Soulsurfer’. Since 2017, Anuhe has been churning out some top-notch cuts on various labels including Cliveland, Shaman Records, Kong Music Records, Conscious Records and Complex Textures. An exciting sound from this guy, we hope to be hearing more from him soon.

‘Soulsurfer’ opens the release, dishing out a funky groove with a punch. The intro boasts a heavy kick drum laden with attack as crispy and sporadic percussions build up. The plucky bassline becomes dominant, adding that funk to the groove while spacey pads and cosmic FX are joined by an enchanting vocal. ‘Energy And Light’ rounds out the release offering up a much deeper groove with a tech vibe. Tight drums lay the foundation for an array of wide, dreamy and trippy sounds which are topped off with some cool vocals. On the low-end, a warm bassline drives the groove, adding thick textures to the sound and making this a definite must have for the late-night sessions.
