After a series of generative, interactive, audio-visual installations, Canadian artist Noah Pred returns to Compute with two tracks of expansive techno metaphysics. Largely produced using custom Max for Live devices he developed for Manifest Audio, both tracks point toward a process-oriented approach with an expansive yet detailed, bass-driven aesthetic. Berupt aims at spacious peak-time euphoria, while Neuflux explores a somewhat more subtle state of late night experience. In both cases, a narrative emerges from dialogue between non-linear elements woven together in a seamless fabric, demonstrating a unique synthesis of creative chaos constrained by technological expression.
