Legend Zed Bias, considered one of the fathers of dubstep and known for projects like Maddslinky or Phuturistix, joins Colombian label NEA$ to offer two tracks that explore that iconic experimental and progressive side of garage that has been a crucial element of the dubstep with waves of funk and house that are accompanied by an angelic voice, sometimes described as dark swing. On ‘Tiempo Presente’, the Englishman presents two classifiable tracks that offer contemporary R&B to house and systematically reinterprets it in his own way with a base of UK garage, broken beat and dub. On the B-side, Argentine DJ Frankie appears to deliver a more robotic and intrepid side, who has gradually become a producer with a bright future, and in NEA$ he winks at his grubby electro base with some sparkling bubbles where the vocals are quickly driven to change their 4/4 strength to return to the breaks and not drop the curtain on tight dynamic drums filled with thick layers that are seen firmly accompanied by intense and ripping beats of rhythmic details that bounce off the soundstage.
