In the early part of his dj career Paul music taste was more urban playing rare groove and hip hop, but when the dance scene started, he soon found a new path, House music was born, also around that time he started producing and making his own music. He now works with labels and artist internationally as well as local, and runs a label called Headfunkt helping local talent get on to different platforms. Paul also Co runs Soulgood Recordings with John Khan Paul also runs a local youth music project called Sound Progression which teaches young people from the more disadvantaged part of the city and surrounding areas how to make, produce, perform and work within the music industry. Their remix is a blazing peak hour House track which presents a big house twist to Becka's vocal and song, the remix is a slightly different direction for the pair & what they have been producing of late, most of their regular fans will accustomed to their lush soulful vocal house offerings, John says 'I really love the big main room sound and its something that Paul & I want to explore a lot more in the future' Once you've heard their remix we'll all be wanted much more of the same from the duo. GHOST LIFE remix Ghost Life (AKA Rob Mitchell, AKA Abstract Orchestra) is a Multi Genre UK Producer that creates unique and original productions and remixes that exude class and soul. His sound captures everything from J Dilla inspired beats through to the woozy house style of KAYTRANADA. Ghost Life has worked with Slum Village, Guilty Simpson, MF DOOM, Illa J, Rag n Bone Man, Lisa Stansfiled, Candi Staton, Martha Reeves, The Brand New Heavies, Becka, T.Markakis, Zonum, Antonello Ferrari, Aldo Bergamasco and many more… Ghost Life’s remix of ‘Bright Lights’ captures the emotions and the highs and lows of living the night life. It opens with an introspective viewpoint beautifully performed by Becka and supported by a real string quartet, adding a level of class and sophistication. There’s a shift in mood for the verse after the high strings with a woozy, pulsing synth that builds to the return of the strings. The chorus is full of pumping synths and thumping kicks, the peak of the night. The strings end the track, like waves washing the night away.
