Nearly 20 years on since we last released new material, and over 30 since we first entered the fray with a vague commitment to provide some half decent music for a f*cked up world, Hooj finally returns to a now not at all f*cked up world, with roughly the same m.o. in mind.
First up to walk the gangplank into 21st C end-days, Florida based Bedrock / Panagea Recs playa DJ Samer comes bearing two chunky, melodic proggers. The A1 mix of Proper Propaganda is courtesy of Northern newcomer Hallelujah Club, who ups the tempo, and adds snatches of vocal, pulsing arpeggio's, and a whomping bassline to create some quasi techno energy.
Samer's original focuses on subtle, trippy melodies, chunky bass and a warm production glow, whilst 'Carnival Banter' is a trackier affair, keeping it's head down and allowing the tough drums and a simple techy riff do the work.
Hallelujah's 12" mix finishes off the package, taking the longer route to a similar destination as his club edit.
