Venezuelan artist Marlon C makes a much-welcomed return to Black Seven Music for the second release of 2022, alongside rising UK talent Vito for a two-punch rolling Tech knockout - Without A Fight.
This isn’t Marlon C’s first Black Seven rodeo. After previously featuring on two separate releases in 2021, he returns alongside Birmingham based rising talent Vito (UK) as they deliver a delightful double track package to warm your winter dancing feet.
Opening the release, the title track ‘Without A Fight’ boasts ample signature Black Seven Music flavours. Warm sub-bass adds even more rhythm to a robust bed of punchy kicks and crisp percussive layers - carving out an endlessly danceable groove. Subtle melodic factors glide throughout the track with a combination of long and sharp notes, also drawing tonal influence from the rich bed of percussion. The track is lightly dusted with vox chops and a sultry female vocal in places, wrapping up its potent body with a silky bow.
‘About Time’ completes the release with upbeat energy and more hearty drum work. Heavyset kicks thump along from the off whilst another rich and rhythmic sub dives in and out. The ripple of scattered percussive elements creates seemingly limitless movement throughout the track’s journey as it advances through segments of hefty chorus grooves and tantalisingly harmonious bridges - leading to ‘hands up’ drops aplenty throughout.
