Joe Morris returns to his own Shades Of Sound imprint with the Pacific Dream EP, comprising four original shimmering tracks that channel the heat, light and humidity of peak summer months. The lead track 'Pacific Dream (Energy Mix)' is a classic deep house workout. Organic keys and heady synths combine over an irresistible rolling 909 drum groove. On the 'Sunset Mix' the pace cools down, space is given to the soaring synths and gentle hand drums assist the languid tone to melt away over the horizon. 'New Generation' is modern balearica at it's best; a mid tempo groove cut to emotive pads and fluttering 303's. 'Island People' rounds off the EP in similar emotive fashion with a relaxed, breezy atmosphere drifting through its lazy beats and melancholic strings.
