Lex Luca celebrates three years of his label In Tune with a trio of remixes by Rare Two Inc., Horatio and Lex Luca himself.
Celebrating its three year anniversary in autumn 2020, the quality of music from Lex Luca's In Tune imprint has been unwavering. Releasing a range of house from deep to techy, soulful to stripped-back, In Tune has supported up-and-coming artist like Luciff and Tekes alongside releases from global superstars including Harry Romero and Junior Sanchez.
In Tune's latest EP sees the label selecting some of the gems from their own catalogue for the remix treatment, with Rare Two Inc., Horatio and Lex Luca all getting in on the action.
Rare Two Inc. is DJ Sneak and Tripmastaz: a meeting of the USA and Russia that has delivered house cuts for labels like Cuttin Headz, Hottrax and Rawthentic. Their remix of Favourite Game is utterly sublime: a timeless, raw house track with a poignant string-led breakdown and magnetic rolling groove.
Involved in the scene since the 90's, Romanian producer Horatio has kept his finger on the pulse of dance music for close to three decades with a distinct blend of stylistic influences. His remix of House Party's is stripped-back, minimal tech house with a whirling, acid-inflected lead and a deeply hypnotic groove.
Completing the package is Lex Luca's remix of Luciff's Rhythm & Love. Originally a tribal house roller, the remix treads a more twisted path, preserving and emphasising some of the darker elements while adding menacing synths and a sinewy bassline, resulting in a deep, hypnotic house workout.
