A groove so real, you don't get a choice. When house music is expressed in its purest form there's an involuntary response. There's something fundamental in your mind and body that's activated and regardless of what you want to think about it, the twitching begins. That's how this latest double A-side from FREAK ON has made us feel, we didn't get to decide if we like these tunes or not, that was out of our hands. The title track 'Broke Boy' utilises a modern deep house bass, with a classic beat and chopped NY rap vocals in a way that pushes house to the edge while inversely paying tribute to decades of rhythmic pedigree. For track 2 FREAK ON teams up with fellow shift-locker BINGEWATCH for the slightly more ghetto tech influenced 'Lock & Drop'. Both these tunes are not just crowd pleasers, but crowd controllers with instant main room credentials. .
